  • Type Locality:  
    Distribution: Rio Madeira basin, Brazil, between Borba, Estado do Amazonas, and mouth of Rio Machado, Estado de Rondônia.
    Biotope:  
    Size: 1.0 - 1.4 cm (SL)
    Characteristics: Extremely large eyes like all members of this genus. Flat back, dorsal fin set well back behind the anal fin, mouth pointing upwards typical of surface dwelling fish. Pectoral fins extended to 1/3 body length, much longer than those of other members of the genus.
