  • Type Locality: Temporary pool, Aruanã, Goiãs (Tocantins), Brazil
    Distribution: Upper Rio Araguaia flood plains, Goiãs, Brazil.
    Biotope: Sympatric with Maratecoara lacortei and Simpsonichthys costai at the type locality, Aruanã.
    Size: Males: 3 cm; Females: 2.5 cm
