Distribution: Panama; S.E. Costa Rica
Biotope: Found in small streams. They have been reported as found jumping around on the banks of streams and in even occupying water-filled hoof prints left by cows! At Boquete, found in a small flowing creek on the side of the road. The creek had some grassy shallows and flooded areas. Some Brachyrhaphis roseni were found in open areas, and the Rivlus hildebrandi P95/3 in the shallow grassy areas.
