  • Type Locality: "Arboretum", 3km from Jenaro Herrera, on the construction route towards Colonia Angamos, 4º 53 S, 73º 47 W, Peru.
    Distribution: Collected in Peru.
    Biotope:  
    Size: 7 cm
    Characteristics: This species has a medium-sized body with a few stripes and is delicately coloured with shades of pink, pale green, and pale yellow. The males have flanks that are iridescent, reflecting pale green, with brown-reddish spots arranged in short longitudinal lines. The lines are bolder on the caudal peduncle. The anal fins are pale yellow near the edge ae-nd the dorsal is coloured orange-brown near the edge. The females are light brown in colour and not striped. The fins are slightly iridescent and they have the Rivulus spot on the base of the caudal peduncle. This species is similar to Rivulus rubrolineatus and close to the urophthalmus group. This species is inseparable from Rivulus rubrolineatus and Rivulus limoncochae in diemensions and meristics but they are very different in colour. They live in different habitats also.
