Characteristics: Males with 7 - 8 lines of close red dots running from behind the gills to the base of the caudal fin. Dorsal fin and top half of caudal fin red-orange. Pectoral fins are a deep orange colour, anal fin also a deep orange colour but also edged with dark red. Female similar body but paler and all the fins are near tranparent but with some orange-yellow colouration in the pectoral and anal fins.

  • "Lake Leticia" TAAG 2002/1 (Collected from Lake Leticia.)
  • Breeding: Lays eggs in top mops/plants. Water temperature 75°F, pH 6·5. Sexually mature at 5 cm. Appears to be slow growing.
