International Simpsonichthys marginatus Maintenance Group

This is a collaborative project between the AKA and SAA Study Group to preserve this beautiful fish that is reportedly extinct in the wild.

The group is composed of aquarists from Argentina to the USA and numbers 10 dedicated individuals. We would like to see this number grow. If you are interested in taking part in this or some of our other programs click here. A list of Species Maintenance Programs and suggested programs can be found here.

You will have to pledge yourself to maintaining this species for at least two years. If you can distribute fish and eggs that will be a great plus to the project. If you don't want to partake in the project but still want to keep this fish that is fine too. Contact the Species Coordinator, Dan Katz.
