These are small white worms from 1 - 10 mm in length which I feed to fry and smaller fish. They are raised in a medium made from a mixture of peat and loam soil of from 0.5 - 2 litres in volume. The cultures are kept in small recycled plastic food containers with air holes for ventilation. They keep well at temperatures from 10 - 24ºC. I feed them on flake food be it pond flake, fresh goldfish flake or past sell-by date picked up cheap at shops or auctions.

These worms are larger than grindal at 5 - 40 mm in length when fed to my fish. I raise them in a medium made from a mixture of peat and loam soil too. I keep these cultures in larger containers, the culture medium being from 1 - 5 litres in volume. They prefer cooler temperatures and keep well at 5 - 18ºC.
